On January 14th I came home from my other teaching job and didn't feel so good. My husband realized I was not acting right, so he did a stroke check on me and I failed. He took me to the emergency room at the Greenwald Hospital and found out that I did in fact have a stroke. They gave me emergency medicine for strokes and sent me by ambulance to Waukesha Memorial Hospital. There I was put in ICU for several days because my blood pressure was crazy and my breathing kept stopping every time I fell asleep. After a few days I was stable and moved to a regular room. Unfortunately, I was tested for COVID and tested positive, so I had to stay in quarantine for 10 days. Once my quarantine time was done, I was moved to the Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin. This place is awesome and I am getting the care I need to recover. I am getting Physical Therapy for 3 hours every day and I am making progress. I am only allowed one visitor, so I have been able to see my husband every day. It has been hard not being able to see my kids, I have not been able to see the them in almost a month. All of the staff at both Waukesha Memorial and the Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin are amazing and so kind. I appreciate all of your well wishes and prayers, please keep them coming! COOKIES FOR A CAUSE Below I have attached a flyer with information about a cookie fundraiser being sponsored by St. James Catholic Church in Mukwonago to support the Waukesha Community Fund as well as the Jackson Sparks family. Many families were affected by this awful tragedy and I believe especially at this time of year as Catholics we need to be finding small ways to give back to those who need us most. This is a very worthy family and cause and we hope that you are able to show them support. I know that school registration won't be starting until February, but I wanted to take a moment to spread some Christmas joy about St. Peter's School. For many of our parents, parishioners, and community members the rumors of St. Peter's School potentially closing has been weighing heavy on everyone's hearts and minds. I am here today to tell you that St. Peter's School has been a pillar of Catholic education in East Troy for many years and will continue to be in the future. With the help and support of everyone in the St. Peter's family, we are looking forward to the future and continuing our mission. We are excited to share with you the enrollment incentives that will begin on February 1st. We are hoping that over the holidays you will take some time to spread the news of these wonderful incentives to your friends and family. Please be aware that any family who is potentially interested in attending St. Peter's School next year are welcome to schedule a tour at their convenience as well as schedule a day for their child to shadow another student in their grade. We have every intention of extending to include 6th grade next year so we hope that you will help us make this a possibility. Thank you all for your continued support of St. Peter's School. Enrollment Intent Incentives
Referral Incentives Any of our current families who refer a new family that attends school here next year will receive a $250 tuition incentive. Choice families are also eligible to receive a $250 Lunch credit for the referral of a new family. Happy Holidays to all of our school families! Please know that we understand and will do our best to help make the school aspect as least stressful as possible. Many of our events are optional, so please do not feel obligated. We appreciate all you are able to do and give at this time of year. You are always welcome to email me or call the school office if you have any questions. Each St. Peter's family holds a special place in our hearts and minds and during this time of reflection I thank you all for entrusting us with your children and allowing us to be a part of your family. God Bless.
