Catholic Soles Walk
Every year the Archdiocese of Milwaukee hosts a walk for all of the Catholic Schools to participate in. In prior years we did not attend due to the location of the walk and the distance it was from our community. However, this year they have decided to take the walk virtual! St. Peter's School has received permission to do our own walk in our community on that day! Therefore we are pleased to invite you to join St. Peter's Catholic Soles Walk on Saturday October 17th beginning at 10am in our parking lot! Please register using the link below! All donations received will be matched $1 for $1 by this years Soles Walk sponsors, up to $5000. The classroom that earns the most donations will also receive a pizza party! Register and donate today using the link below. Catholic Soles Walk Ski Club Join St. Peter’s Ski Club at Alpine Valley - Club Cards coming in early November! Our ski club is for anyone ages 7+ who is interested in learning how to ski and/or snowboard or any experienced skier/snowboarder who likes a good deal!! With a club card (one time cost of $22), all student members can ski for $22 and rent ski or snowboard equipment (if needed) for $22 after 3 pm most days, except Saturday. Our club plans six trips where parents, friends, family, neighbors can ski for just $22 and rent equipment for $22 on those days… this is a HUGE savings over regular Alpine Valley prices. New to skiing? No problem - each club card includes a FREE lesson and then after that... the lessons are only $15 on club nights. What are you waiting for? Contact Erin to get your ski club cards. We will deliver your card to you: Erin Seaverson erin.seaverson@gmail.com 262-777-171 Spirit and Pride Orders We have decided that we are going to start celebrating "Wildcat Wednesdays"! This means that every Wednesday students are encouraged to wear spirit clothes or school colors to help show school spirit! Order forms for spirit wear came home today in red folders.Orders can be placed online or over the phone and are due by 10/21. Challenge Island Although we are not able to take our usual festive fall field trips this year due to Covid, we still wanted to give the students an exciting experience out of the normal classroom routine. We are going to be hosting Challenge Island, a hands-on, in school, STEAM based field trip experience. Students will be learning about a topic and then given a challenge they need to complete as a small group based around that topic. Field trip permission slips went home today in red folders. Please be sure to turn them in asap. Fall Conferences Conferences are going to be held on Thursday, October 29th. Our plan at this time is to have in person conferences and a sign up form went home today. We are asking that everyone attending wear a mask and chairs will be set up in the classroom to provide social distancing. We have moved to trimesters this year, per Archdiocesan recommendation and therefore report cards will not be going out until later in November. These conferences are meant to promote communication between the teacher and parents and to help answer any questions or concerns. Thank you in advance for making this a priority. Family Pumpkin Carving The PTO met a few weeks ago and decided that we are still going to be hosting our annual pumpkin carving event on Friday October 23rd. We feel that this is an activity that we can participate in while still maintaining social distancing guidelines. More information came home today in red folders. Hopefully you are able to join us for this wonderful night of family fun! No School Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow or Friday due to teacher inservices. The office will be open from 8-12pm both days in the event that you need anything. Christmas Wreath Sale Final orders for wreaths are due by this Friday, October 9th. Flyers were sent home in red folders today for any last minute sales. Thank you for your continued support in our school! Sincerely, Megan Sagat Comments are closed.
