Thank you to everyone who took the time to take the survey that was sent out. The feedback was very helpful for decision making moving forward. I also received excellent feedback from families regarding virtual week. I am so grateful to the teachers for all of their hard work and to our families for being understanding and flexible. Given the current recommendations from the Health Department as well as the feedback from the survey we have decided to go virtual for the week after Christmas break as well (January 4th-8th). I have been very impressed with the way that all of our families have responded to the pandemic and I appreciate you diligently following the schools Covid policies. I know that being virtual puts an addition strain on all of our families, but please know that this decision was made as a way of hopefully preventing a situation where we would have to be virtual for an extended amount of time due to positive cases within the school. I will be sending out a Virtual Learning Survey for families to better understand how the process went and how we can improve. Thank you again for your continued support of St. Peter's School!
Calendar Raffles Reminder that calendar raffles are due to the school or parish office no later than December 21st. Snack Donations Our Builders Club is currently collecting snacks for The Treehouse which is a great organization that helps teens. You can bring in snacks of any kind until December 18th. We appreciate you helping donate to a great cause. No Popcorn/Juice We are taking a small break from the popcorn and juice until after our Christmas break. I will send a reminder once we start this event again in January. Virtual Christmas Concert Our Christmas concert will take place next Thursday afternoon. Due to Covid we are not able to have an audience join us for this wonderful event. We had previously stated that we would try to host a Facebook Live event for our concert, but it is logistically not possible with the layout of the concert. To abide by social distancing guidelines we are splitting our concert into three mini concerts with different grade levels and with the starting and stopping, a live event just won't work. We will however record the concert in its entirety and send out a link to view it in the newsletter. I know our students are proud to show off their hard work! Sincerely, Megan Sagat Comments are closed.
