St. Peter's Spring Clean Up
Calling all families to help us on Good Friday after the 12pm Mass to assist with spring clean up on the church and school grounds. We will meet in front of church. Please bring your favorite garden tools and it would help if you have extras to bring for sharing. Some garden tools to dust off and consider bringing: rakes, garden gloves, hand-held clippers or scissors (for trimming down plants), tarps would be most helpful (for transporting leaves and debris to the compost area) and perhaps a bucket for small debris and a kneeler. Parents and students are encouraged to wear their St. Peter's apparel. Volunteering at the St. Peter's Clothing Center Our 4th and 5th grade students spent the afternoon at the St. Peter's Clothing Center assisting with organizing and cleaning after the bag sale. Our students were able to learn about how Helping Hands assists those in our own community. This was a great experience for our students! St. Peter's Fine Arts Night We are hosting a Fine Arts Night on Thursday, May 12th at 6pm. As many of you know our long time, dedicated and wonderful Music Teacher, Mrs. Bezak had a stroke this year and has been working hard on her recovery. So we wanted to show her our support by hosting a Fine Arts Night with 100% of the proceeds going to help Mrs. Bezak and her family during this difficult time. I hope that you will join us for our baseball themed musical, concession stand baseball food, students artwork display, and even a silent art auction! We are hoping to get 2 volunteers to help us run the concession stand 45 minutes before the show begins and 2 parent volunteers to help 30 minutes after the show ends. If this is something you are able to help us with, please respond to this newsletter or call the school office to let us know! Children's Hospital Toy Drive Thank you so much to our families and parishioners that donated to our Lenten Children's Hospital Toy Drive! We were able to collect 60 items that will be donated to Children's Hospital! We appreciate everyone's generosity during this Lenten Season. Reminders There is no Holy Thursday Children's Mass on Thursday April 14th and students do not need to wear uniforms to school. Church tradition is that only one Mass is held that day and it happens in the evening. We will be participating in a small prayer service with the students. No School Friday, April 15th or Monday, April 18th Comments are closed.
