Student Appreciation Week
Our 8th graders are working hard to continue to earn money for their class trip. They have created a Student Appreciation Week on April 26th-April 30th. To participate in this event, we are asking families to pay $10 per child to show your appreciation for all of the wonderful things your child does. Each child who participates will receive a special treat or prize everyday of the week showing how appreciated they are! There will also be special events for all students throughout the week! All proceeds from this event will benefit their class trip. Hopefully it is a fun filled week for all!! Band Lessons I have found a band teacher who is interested in coming to St. Peter's next year to provide private band lessons for students in grades 3-8. The cost would be $60 a month for 4 individual lessons. We would like to get a count of how many families would be interested in this opportunity, so please let me or the school office know you are interested by Friday April 30th. Raffle Baskets During our Spring Play we are planning on having raffle baskets available to win! We are asking that each class help make a different themed basket for this event. What we would need is each student to bring in one item that follows the theme of their class basket. Information forms went home in red folders regarding each students classroom basket. Please turn in the items by April 30th. Tickets to win these baskets will be available to school families as well as parishioners. Graduation Our 8th grade Graduation Mass will be held on Friday June 4th at 10:30am. This mass will be limited to graduates and their families, so there is no limit to the number of family members that you are able to bring. We simply ask that you continue to social distance while in church. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, we are not able to celebrate graduation with a family breakfast this year. Students are however able to leave immediately following mass to celebrate with friends and family off of school and church grounds. Zoo Field Trip All students are going to be taking a field trip to the Milwaukee County Zoo on May 12th from 9am-2:30pm. Permission slips went home this week in red folders for those students who have not yet turned them in. Please be sure to send the permission slip and fees back to school by Friday, April 16th. Spring Play Students are going to be performing a play on Thursday, May 13th for a live audience! We are so excited to welcome our families into school to show off all of the students hard work. Mrs. Bezak is requesting that all students grades K3-6th grade purchase a "camp shirt" as their costume for the play. The cost of the shirt is $5 per child. An information form went home about this in red folders today for those who have not yet turned them in. Seeking Room Parents We need your help! After a brief hiatus, we are bringing back Room Parent Volunteers aka RPVs. RPVs provide an invaluable service to our school. They help coordinate class parties and events, as well as serve as a source of communication between the teacher, school and parents in your class. As a RPV, you will be invited to attend an orientation meeting where you will receive an overview of the Room Parent role. To learn more, contact Erin Seaverson: erin.seaverson@gmail.com.
