Parent Vision Meeting
May 6th at 7pm in the school cafe we are inviting all St. Peter's parents to attend a vision meeting. Our hope for this meeting is to bring parents and staff together to discuss our hopes and ideas in regards to the future of St. Peter's School. More details about this meeting will be sent in a separate newsletter. Please mark your calendars and join us for a positive and collaborative meeting! Graduation Our 8th grade Graduation Mass will be held on Friday June 4th at 10:30am. This mass will be limited to graduates and their families, so there is no limit to the number of family members that you are able to bring. We simply ask that you continue to social distance while in church. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, we are not able to celebrate graduation with a family breakfast this year. Students are however able to leave immediately following mass to celebrate with friends and family off of school and church grounds. Spring Play Students are going to be performing a play on Thursday, May 13th, with a 1pm and 6pm show for a live audience! We are so excited to welcome our families into school to show off all of the students hard work. Mrs. Bezak is requesting that all students grades K3-6th grade purchase a "camp shirt" as their costume for the play. The cost of the shirt is $5 per child. An information form went home about this in red folders today for the students who have not yet purchased one. Student Appreciation Week Our 8th graders are working hard to continue to earn money for their class trip. They have created a Student Appreciation Week on April 26th-April 30th. To participate in this event, we are asking families to pay $10 per child to show your appreciation for all of the wonderful things your child does. Each child who participates will receive a special treat or prize everyday of the week showing how appreciated they are! There will also be special events for all students throughout the week. All proceeds from this event will benefit their class trip. Hopefully it is a fun filled week for all! Band Lessons I have found a band teacher who is interested in coming to St. Peter's next year to provide private band lessons for students in grades 3-8. The cost would be $60 a month for 4 individual band lessons. I would like to have at least 5 students participating in this to make it worth while for the teacher to come one day a week for lessons. Please email me directly or call the school office if you are interested in having your child participate in band next year. Raffle Baskets During our Spring Play we are planning on having raffle baskets available to win! We are asking that each class help make a different themed basket for this event. What we would need is each student to bring in an item or two that follows the theme of their class basket. Please turn in these items by April 30th so we can begin assembling the baskets. Tickets to win these baskets will be available to school families and parishioners beginning in May. Classroom Basket Themes: K-Arts and Crafts 1/2- Beach 3/4-Outdoor Adventure 5/6-Take it Outside 7/8-Cooking/Baking Comments are closed.
