Parent Vision Meeting Notes
A few weeks ago school staff, administrators and parents met to discuss our dreams and visions for the future of St. Peter's School. I know some of you were unable to attend due to prior commitments. I have attached the meeting notes at the bottom of this newsletter for you to review. If you feel that you too have input or something that you would like to discuss about the future of the school, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
School Accreditation Visit
We went through our Accreditation visit recently and things went great! They praised us for how the school looked and felt while walking through and doing observations of classrooms. The Archdiocese will be giving us a formal write up of this evaluation in a week or so and from this we will begin creating long term plans for improvement. Throughout the summer we will continue to update you on these goals and plans.
School registration forms for next year went home in red folders last week. We ask that you please turn these into the school office as soon as possible so that we can more accurately plan for next year. Staff assignments, book purchases, and supplies are ordered over the summer and we appreciate having as accurate of numbers as possible.
We have very exciting news regarding next school year! We are going to be implementing a referral program for our current St. Peter's families. If you refer a family to St. Peter's and they have a child who attends school here next year, your family will receive a tuition discount!! Our School Choice families can also participate and receive discounts on other school related fees! What a great reason to spread the word about how amazing St. Peter's School is!
On Thursday June 3rd at 2pm we are going to be hosting an Awards Ceremony for our students. We will be honoring the students hard work and participation in various events throughout the school year. At this time we will also be celebrating our 8th graders and presenting them with gifts from the staff. This event is open for families to attend.
On Monday June 7th we will be participating in our annual Field Day. This is a day filled with fun and games that many students look forward to all year! We will be outside for the majority of the day, so we ask that you apply sunscreen to your child before bringing them to school and also send them with a water bottle. We thought it would be fun for the students to wear their Summer Camp shirts on this day as well. Many of the games and activities for the day involve supplies that we already have on hand. However, some of the students have requested that we have a water balloon fight in the afternoon. So I thought I would reach out and see if any families would be willing to donate a few packages of "Bunch-o-Balloons" for us to use for this event. Thank you and I am looking forward to this day filled with activities and fun!

I have found a band teacher who is interested in coming to St. Peter's next year to provide private band lessons for students in grades 3-8. The cost would be $60 a month for 4 individual band lessons. I would like to have at least 5 students participating in this to make it worth while for the teacher to come one day a week for lessons. Please email me directly or call the school office if you are interested in having your child participate in band next year.
A huge thank you everyone who participated in the basket raffle! Winners will be picked tomorrow morning and we will call those personally who win! All of the proceeds from the baskets will go towards our "Themed Classrooms" that we are going to be working hard on creating this summer! We will update you all with pictures of our progress this summer!
Beginning Monday May 24th, we will no longer be requiring masks for students or staff while in the school building. At this time, we are still recommending that masks be worn, but we are leaving this decision up to individuals and families. We have also stopped temperature checking students in the morning. If you feel that your child is sick, please check their temperature before coming to school.
