Circle of Grace Lessons
Next week, all students grades K3-8th will be taught lessons from the Circle of Grace Curriculum that was created and required by the Archdiocese. Lessons similar to this have been taught every year to students and generally involve topics of personal safety and security. I listed below the topics that the students will be learning about this year at various grade levels. Please know that you do have the option to opt your child out of these lessons should you choose. Email me directly if you do not want your child learning these topics. Pre-K-2nd Grade- Personal space & Safe/Unsafe Situations 3/4 Grade-Internet Safety 5/6 Grade- Understanding the Influence of Media 7/8 Grade- How to be morally responsible in todays culture Referral Incentive We have very exciting news regarding next school year! We are going to be implementing a referral program for our current St. Peter's families. If you refer a family to St. Peter's and they have a child who attends school here next year, your family will receive a tuition discount!! Our School Choice families can also participate and receive discounts on other school related fees! What a great reason to spread the word about how amazing St. Peter's School is! We are available to give tours or answer questions all summer so feel free to reach out! Awards Ceremony On Thursday June 3rd at 2pm we are going to be hosting an Awards Ceremony for our students. We will be honoring the students hard work and participation in various events throughout the school year. At this time we will also be celebrating our 8th graders and presenting them with gifts from the staff. This event is open for families to attend. Field Day On Monday June 7th we will be participating in our annual Field Day. This is a day filled with fun and games that many students look forward to all year! We will be outside for the majority of the day, so we ask that you apply sunscreen to your child before bringing them to school and also send them with a water bottle. We thought it would be fun for the students to wear their Summer Camp shirts on this day as well. Many of the games and activities for the day involve supplies that we already have on hand. However, some of the students have requested that we have a water balloon fight in the afternoon. So I thought I would reach out and see if any families would be willing to donate a few packages of "Bunch-o-Balloons" for us to use for this event. A few parents have reached out about attending field day and the more hands the better. We can always use help running the different stations, so please reach out if you are interested in helping! Thank you and I am looking forward to this day filled with activities and fun! The cost would be $60 a month for 4 individual band lessons. I would like to have at least 5 students participating in this to make it worth while for the teacher to come one day a week for lessons. Please email me directly or call the school office if you are interested in having your child participate in band next year. Comments are closed.
