THINK AHEAD TO NEXT SCHOOL YEAR!
All parents, grandparents, volunteers and employees of St. Peter’s parish MUST be safeguarded trained, an initiative by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to keep our children safe. If you plan in anyway to be involved in or around children in the school, CCD program and any activities involving children this class MUST be taken before you attend. For the month of June and July because of the COVID virus, the Archdiocese is holding on-line training. You must pre-register for the class just as you would if you would have to attend in person. They will be taking attendance periodically throughout the class. Please contact the parish office or the Religious Education department 642-7225, ext. 5 and we will send you a packet of information to assist you in this most important training, to safeguard our children. The system did not change the wording at the top of the report card to indicate that a 1 refers to the student having Insufficient Evidence. This will not negatively affect your child in any way moving forward. This is not an issue on our end, but I have reached out to the company to see if we can have the wording changed. If they are able to change the wording I will reprint report cards for all families. Thank you for understanding.
Looking to next year, our BrickBusters Team has 2 open slots and would like to hold interviews over the summer for these positions. This is an amazing opportunity to learn skills such as robotics, programming, and team building. The team meets 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays (6-10 hours a week). Expectations are for students to be able to handle practices while also maintaining good grades. If your child is interesting in BrickBusters for next year please contact Jason Feyen at jason.feyen@gmail.com.
I want to start out by congratulating our graduates! You all worked so hard this year and did an amazing job! I know this isn't how you expected the year to end, but I appreciate you finishing the year strong regardless of the circumstances. I hope that you enjoyed your gifts from the teachers that we dropped off yesterday. Please email pictures into the office so that we can share them on Facebook!!
As we wrap up the end of the year and enter into summer I wanted to give a few more updates. Report cards and any left over locker supplies can be picked up in the entryway beginning Friday morning. Each family either has a labeled folder or bag depending on the amount of supplies that were left at school. The office will be closed on Friday, so please email me directly if you have any questions about report cards or supply pick up. Moving into summer, the office will be closed from Friday, June 5 - Monday, June 15th. The office will then be open from 8am-11am for the remainder of the summer. If anyone has questions please stop in or feel welcome to call the office during those hours. Please remember that although the office is closed for that period I am still available through email anytime and I am available to meet by appointment.
