Good Morning!

Crazy how fast the summer went! Below is a list of a few updates and details about the start of school. Back to School Night-

Masks Due to the Governors mandate all students K5-8th grade will be required to wear a mask while at school. We are not requiring masks during lunch and recess. After the Governor's mandate expires we will re-evaluate the use of masks in school. Building Updates Our touchless sinks and new bottle bottle filling station are being installed today and should be completed by Monday of next week. The touchless hand sanitizer pumps are on back order and I will continue to update you on when they will be installed. ERC Meeting We recognize that once school starts and we begin all of these new changes that things may need to be adjusted or changed. The Emergency Response Committee will be meeting again September 8th to discuss the beginning of school and re-evaluate our processes. If at any point you feel there is an issue please reach out to myself, Michael Cotter or the school office so that we can bring the issue to the meeting in September. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to the school office or me directly. Thank you for the continued support. God Bless! Back to School Night Sign Up I wanted to start out by thanking all of you for your continued support of St. Peter's School during these times of great uncertainty. I know that there have been rumors going around the community about us potentially closing. Please know that we are open and plan to remain open for the 20-21 school year and into the future. We are working hard on making building improvements to help safely transition the students back to school full time in this fall. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Building Improvements Survey that was sent out last week. Your feedback is very helpful! We have ordered touchless sinks, a water bottle filling station for upstairs, touchless hand sanitizer stations, and UVC light wands for sanitizing purposes. I will continue to update you as improvements are completed.
Ms. Robran has decided not return to her position at St. Peter's this fall. We are sad to see her go and wish her the best in the future. We are happy to announce that Ms. Podany will be replacing her for the upcoming school year. Early next week I will be sending out her official welcome letter to all families so that you can get to know a little bit more about her. She comes to us from Big Bend Elementary with 3 years teaching experience! Welcome Ms.Podany! Due to enrollment changes we needed to reconfigure classes for the upcoming school year. Below is the list of classes and teacher assignments for the fall. K3-K5- Christina Kaminski 1/2- Kelsey Podany 3/4- Ashley Kommer 5/6-Sue Flogel 7/8- Mary Hudec Our teachers are excited and hopeful about the upcoming school year and are working hard to prepare for the various circumstances that may arise. Each teacher is working to plan out their instruction for the year to be better prepared should we find ourselves in a virtual learning scenario. I am very grateful for their dedication during this difficult time! Lastly, Fr. Mark and I wanted to thank you all for your commitment to St. Peter's School! I know that there have been many changes and that although things might not look as they have in the past we are still dedicated to providing the best Catholic education to our all of our students. As always, I am available by phone or email with any questions or concerns that you may have. Megan Prudom Father Mark Molling St. Peter's School Families,
I know that in times of uncertainty its important to feel informed. We created a document to help parents gain insight of what the school day will look like for students and what some of the new expectations are when starting school in the fall. Please know that this is a fluid document and things may need to change. We will inform you when changes are made to this document. Thank you for your continued support of St. Peter's School! As always, email me with any questions you might have. 2020 School Re-Entry Plan |
