Click here for more details: Fall Festival Catholic Soles Walk Every year the Archdiocese of Milwaukee hosts a walk for all of the Catholic Schools to participate in. In prior years we did not attend due to the location of the walk and the distance it was from our community. However, this year they have decided to take the walk virtual! St. Peter's School has received permission to do our own walk in our community on that day! Therefore we are pleased to invite you to join St. Peter's Catholic Soles Walk on Saturday October 17th beginning at 10am in our parking lot! Please register using the link below! All donations received will be matched $1 for $1 by this years Soles Walk sponsors, up to $5000. The classroom that earns the most donations will also receive a pizza party! Register and donate today using the link below. Catholic Soles Walk Tie Dye As a school wide activity we are going to be tie dying t-shirts on Wednesday October 30th. We are hoping to make this a fun way to get the students excited about the walk. You are welcome to bring in your own white shirt or have the school purchase one for you. We are hoping to have every student participate in this activity. Please reach out to the school office if this creates a financial hardship for your family, we will do what we can to make sure your child is able to participate in this fun event! Parent Advisory Council Meeting Our first PAC Meeting will be Monday September 28th at 6:30pm. This is an important committee that helps guide decision making on policies and procedures throughout the school year. If you are interested in being part of this committee please reach out to me or the school office. Picture Day Picture day is scheduled for Monday October 5th. Order forms were sent home in red folders and contain more information about picture packages that are available. If you need another form for any reason please reach out to the school office or your child's teacher. Mask Mandate Due to the Governor's most recent mandate, all students and staff will be required to wear a mask until November 21st. We are doing our best as a school community to be sure that students are given opportunities throughout the day to have mask breaks. Students are not required to wear masks at recess, lunch, or when participating in outdoor educational activities. Cold Lunch Please remember that students are no longer able to use the microwave to warm up their lunch from home. Also, we are a nut free school, so there should be no nut products packed in their lunches. If you have any questions about this, please reach out to the school office. Bus Students We are excited to let you know that our bus students have began arriving at school before the start of the school day. We appreciated your patience as we worked with the bus company through these new procedures. Sincerely, Megan Sagat IF you have received a lunch statement, please make payment as soon as you are able. Our lunch program is prepaid. Remember, you can log in to your Power School account at any time to view your child's lunch balance. You can also pay online! Make Payments Online

PTO Meeting We are going to be having our first PTO meeting on Wednesday September 23rd at 3pm. Free childcare will be provided if needed during the meeting. MAPS Testing Today the testing site that we use was having connectivity issues and we were unable to test. Often in the fall so many schools are testing at the same time that the website crashes. We will hopefully be able to resume testing tomorrow. Bus Students We have been in contact with the bus company about the issue of the bus students being dropped off late in the morning. They have assured us that they are doing their best to become more efficient with their new procedures and that the timing of the morning drop off will improve. Students will not be marked tardy for coming to school late off of the bus. Catholic Soles Walk Every year the Archdiocese of Milwaukee hosts a walk for all of the Catholic Schools to participate in. I have also been extremely impressed with how well the students have been doing with their masks! We really appreciate everyone's positivity and understanding with all of these new policies and procedures. We truly are in this together!

Lunch Changes Throughout this week I met with the staff as well as the Emergency Response Committee to discuss how things have gone thus far this year and to make any necessary changes. We have decided that we are going to be returning to one lunch period instead of two. There is plenty of room in the lunchroom to remain social distanced while still having only one lunch period. With our decrease in enrollment, I felt that it was unnecessary stress on the staff. Please also be aware that myself and Mrs. Borkhuis are in the lunchroom daily from 11:30-12pm assisting with service and doing temperature checks so the office will be closed at that time. Mass I met with Father Mark this morning and we figured out a seating chart for Mass that would allow us to return to the church for our weekly masses. Students will be sufficiently social distanced as well as wearing masks while in mass. Sadly, we are still requesting that our school Mass be limited to students and staff only. Thank you for understanding! MAPS Testing Today Grades 5-8th are going to begin MAPS testing. Grades K5-4th will test next week. Students in Grades K5-2nd grade will need over-the-ear headphones for testing, so please send them in a labeled Zip Lock bag before testing begins. Testing will take place in the morning so be sure that students arrive on time. Once results are available they will be sent home with families. School Uniforms Students are required to wear red St. Peter's polo shirts Thursdays for mass. Below is the link to order these shirts should you need more or a different size for this year. Orders must be placed online. Call the school office if you have any questions or issues with ordering. All orders are due by September 14th. Uniform Order Form Sincerely, Megan Sagat School pictures will be on Monday, October 5th. Order forms will come home soon!
7th and 8th grade will be doing our first school mass this year on 9/10/20. At this time we are asking that no parents or parishioners join this Mass; students and staff only.
Remember, students must wear a red shirt with a collar, with khaki, navy or black pants or a skirt. NO JEANS, SHORTS or LEGGINGS. Students may change into shorts after Mass. Happy first week of school!!
