Parish Office Administrative Assistant

Part Time Position - 2-3 days/week
Hourly - $13-$16 (base on experience)
Duties and Responsibilities - Major Position Responsibilities and Regular Activities
Ministry of Customer Service:
• Oversees timely opening and secure closing of office and church each working day
• Welcome and assist telephone callers
• Greets and assists parishioners/parents/students/guests.
Office Support & Primary Duties
• Typing, filing, and coordination of meetings and associated correspondence/minutes/reports for pastor and staff.
• Assists as needed with bulletin and other communication productions.
• Background clerical work for parish/school events, as required.
• Receives, sorts, and forward’s incoming mail.
• Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
• Enters new parishioner data and updates existing parishioner data into parish census program,
• Coordinates and maintains tuition and fee schedule for school and formation program
• Schedules Mass intentions
• Maintains sacramental registers, e.g., baptisms, marriages, deaths, confirmation, communion
• Assist with the completion of Archdiocesan and/or government reports
• Coordinates new and maintains current cemetery records. Assists Sexton and/or Cemetery Coordinator with duties pertaining to cemetery records and others as indicated by them
• Other duties as assigned
