Jams, breads, and pickled beets, oh my!
Are you in the midst of preserving some of the blessings from your garden? Perhaps you’re in a pickle with too much produce? Please consider setting a few items aside for the Country Store during St. Peter’s Fall Festival (October 3rd). Your fellow parishioners and visitors relish buying homemade goodies such as baked breads, cookies, preserved veggies and fruits, and of course those awesome jams and jellies! Just keep those treats in your freezer or pantry and we’ll ask for them at the end of September. Questions? Call Tracey @ 642-4232.
Fall Festival Raffle Baskets
With the fall festival on 10/3 fast approaching it’s time to think about how you would like to participate. One suggestion is by contributing completed raffle baskets or individual items which can then be combined to make up a theme basket. It’s a fun and creative way to take part. Some suggestions for baskets might be kitchen items, a sports theme, kids’ items, pet things, chocolate goodies, coffee lovers’ basket, outdoor interests, ingredients to make a favorite meal, music interests, games, jewelry, favorite holiday de cor, gift cards, etc. Another option is to contact any businesses that you might know to obtain donations and provide a way to advertise for them. The list is endless! Please drop your basket or items off at the school office Monday thru Friday from 8-3 no later than Sept. 21st. Have fun and thank you in advance for your contribution.
Baby Bottle Boomerang
A very heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this year’s Baby Bottle Boomerang a huge success. Over $3,100 has been raised to support the vital work being done right here in our community by Gerard’s Embrace. “We are grateful beyond words and the money is very much appreciated and will be put to good use.”
Reminder: if you still have a baby bottle, please return it to the parish office or in the collection box in the back of church.

St. Peter's School News
We are so excited to welcome students back to school in a few weeks! Teachers begin the year on August 23rd and will be working hard to get the school and classrooms ready! The school office will be open from 9-12pm every day and you are welcome to call or stop in if you need anything!
We felt that it would be great to enter into this year with a theme to help us focus on throughout the year and to ensure that we are keeping Christ at the forefront of everything we do.
Students will be working on diving deeper into this theme and what it means to them and to our school community. On the first day, students will be creating posters on what this theme represents for them. We will share these on Facebook and in the newsletter once they are complete!
Back to School Night is Wednesday, August 25th 4:00pm - 6:00pm!
Students should bring all of their school supplies and be dressed for getting their school picture taken. Teachers will be available to answer any questions that you might have before school starts. Deb will be there handing out back to school packets to everyone who attends. Please be sure that you fill out those forms as soon as possible so that the office has all of the necessary information.
After their pictures are taken, students and families are encouraged to socialize and play our outdoor activities. We will have chalk, jump ropes, hula-hoops, and a kickball game. There will also be ice-pops for the students to enjoy! We are excited for all of our families to get together before the start of the year!
