Watch your mailboxes as the schedules will be mailed out soon. At this time, we can only have one Eucharistic Minister although three are listed. So we ask that only one of you come forward. Although Altar Servers cannot serve quite yet, we are hopeful that will change soon. We have included their schedules in the mailing as well. Watch the bulletin or website for changes as they occur. The schedules will be posted on the website as well in case your schedule gets lost in the mail.
The end of 3rd quarter is quickly approaching (September 30th). Please drop off your receipts in the back of church or at the school so the tabulators can count them and turn them in to Frank's during the first week of October. Second quarter was a bit off presumably due to the pandemic but still gained the school/church $316. Nice Job and Thank You!
On Sunday, October 4, from 2:00-3:00 we will be standing for life, holding signs and praying for an end to abortion, along hwy's 20 & ES. We are allowed to park in the Bible church parking lot. Our parish began to be a part of this annual national gathering well over 15 years ago. We've had as few as 2 of us standing out there in the pouring rain (3, if you include my preborn grandson) and up to as many as 30 one year. Fr. Mark has been the ONLY pastor, of all the churches invited to join us (these past 15 years, plus), who has stood out there and prayed with us, year after year. Abortion has been legal in our country for nearly 48 years. Over 60 million preborn babies were never allowed to take their first breath, be held & loved, never allowed to giggle or play, nor have the choice to grow up & become what they might've been. 60 million babies, in the U.S., alone.
St. Peter’s School is looking for someone to prepare lunch for our children. Hours are approximately 10:30 to 12:30 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This is a paid position. Please call Deb in the school office at 642-5533 for more information or to apply.
We are walking with more than 100 schools throughout the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. All money raised will be used to help us meet our fundraising goal. That's right - every dollar raised by our team will stay with our school! We hope you will support our efforts by making a secure online donation and walking with us on October 17! Please go to the below link to learn more of this worthwhile event: https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/SOLES/team/StPeterEastTroy
Do you have a child that will be 3 or 4 by September 1, 2020? Are you looking for a preschool program that is faith based with lots of love and small class sizes? St. Peter’s School is now accepting enrollment for our pre-kindergarten program. Options include Tuesday & Thursday school; Monday, Wednesday & Friday school; or Monday through Friday. School choice is also an option for 4-year-olds. Feel free to contact the school office (262)642-5533 for more information, or to set up a school tour. We would love to have your child(ren) join our St. Peter’s family!
A colorful queen-size bear paw print design quilt was donated by our own St. Peter’s Quilters & group and made with squares from our longtime parishioner, the late Lucrecia Pawlak. Tickets are $2 each or three tickets for $5. Please pick up your tickets in the back of church or with the parish office.
There is a dumpster next to the Carriage House that we have to put our scrap metal into. It is quite large and if you have any metal you would like to get rid of, please bring it over. The scrap company will pay us for the metal and give the profit to St. Peters Church. Clean up your garage/basement and support your parish, only until space allows. Do not leave it outside the dumpster.
Catholic Soles Walk
Every year the Archdiocese of Milwaukee hosts a walk for all of the Catholic Schools to participate in. In prior years we did not attend due to the location of the walk and the distance it was from our community. However, this year they have decided to take the walk virtual! St. Peter's School has received permission to do our own walk in our community on that day! Therefore we are pleased to invite you to join St. Peter's Catholic Soles Walk on Saturday October 17th beginning at 10am in our parking lot! Please register using the link below! All donations received will be matched $1 for $1 by this years Soles Walk sponsors, up to $5000. The classroom that earns the most donations will also receive a pizza party! Register and donate today using the link below. Catholic Soles Walk
7th and 8th grade will be doing our first school mass this year on 9/10/20. At this time we are asking that no parents or parishioners join this Mass; students and staff only.
Remember, students must wear a red shirt with a collar, with khaki, navy or black pants or a skirt. NO JEANS, SHORTS or LEGGINGS. Students may change into shorts after Mass.
