On November 5th, 7pm, the Knights will have their Memorial Mass for all of our departed brothers. Refreshments will be served afterwards. We will be holding our annual Christmas party on December 14th starting at 6pm. We will be holding the party at Lindey's again on Lake Beulah. Price to be determined.
On November 18, 2019 we will be hosting the Second Helpings Meal. We are asking parish members for donations of their
time, talent or treasure. We will need kitchen and dining room help the day of the event (signup in back of church), desserts (sign-up in the back of church), or your monetary donations (boxes at the exits). As always this is a community event that all are invited to attend. The doors open at 4:30 pm at St. James Parish for fellowship with the meal being served at 5:30 pm. Thank you for donating to this parish mission.
FREE AED DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING AT ST. PETER’S - HELP SAVE A LIFE
Note to all parishioners. On November 9th and 10th following each Mass the Knights will be sponsoring AED training for all interested parishioners. This will be held in the school cafeteria and will take around 15 minutes. Hopefully you will never need to use this device but feel at ease if you do.
The Lector workbooks for 2020 are now available in the sacristy after all Masses. Please stop in and pick yours up as it begins the First Sunday of Advent, December 1 of this year.
Come and join us after the 8:00 am Mass and following the annual parish meeting to be held in the church after the 10:00 am Mass on October 27, 2019. We will meet in the café for fellowship, coffee, and a bite to eat. We will be waiting for you at the school café.

Divine Word Seminary off St. Peter’s Road in East Troy is looking for an “On-call” cook to cover vacations and/or sick days for our regular cooks ($11.00/hr). There would be a paid training period. If interested, please contact Janet Gray at 262-642-3300 ext. 0.
Hats off to Rochelle Verick for her tireless leadership as chairperson of the Fall Festival. She is a motivational and organized leader, taking care of unifying and organizing all the moving parts, and chair people in order to pull off a successful fall festival.
Our decorating committee is seeking donations of locally grown corn, squash, gourds or Indian corn to be used for our fall church decorations. Jasmine Larson would love any fall items or you can make a donation to help purchase any additional items she may need. Please contact Jasmine Larson at 262-379-9060 if you can help in any way.
Pray while you clean! We are in need of additional people to help vacuum the church. It would not have to be every week, maybe just once a month either on a Thursday or Friday anytime after morning Mass or after 3:00 pm on First Fridays. It would only take an hour to an hour and a half. Please call the office at 642-7225, ext 3 for more information.
Looking to outfit the kids for Halloween but don’t want to pay those big prices, why not stop at Helping Hands Clothing Center to see our Halloween costumes and Halloween themed clothing. Autumn is here and we have a good supply of fall apparel for the entire family.
Hours: Tuesday—9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday 9:00 am to Noon
Last month’s soups were so delicious. Conversation and laughter ensued. We invite all to come Wednesday, October 16th to share a noon meal with other parishoners . Come at Noon in the Parish Offices (Rectory)
A big thank you to the 36 donors at St. Paul’s recent blood drive. Our next blood drive will be November 23, 7:30 am to 11:30 am at the Heritage. Please consider donating for the Holidays.
We still need volunteers who may be unable to commit to teaching each week, but who would like to substitute occasionally. It is a wonderful way to do as the Bible asks “to go out and spread the gospel”. You do not need a teaching degree just a desire to share your faith.
We are also in need of a volunteer office aide on Mondays (5:45 to 6:45 pm) and/or Wednesdays (6:30—8:00 pm). We cannot pay you but we can take some monies off your CCD fees.
Don’t forget the wonderful produce, handmade items and home baked goodies at the Country Store. Let the kids have fun in the gym with many different games to play. The KCs will be manning the bar and will have the football games on. Take a chance for $1000 cash prize or the beautiful queen size quilt or for a raffle bas-ket. How about the White Elephant Rummage for that special treasure? Hope to see you there.
Box Tops are going through a transition phase. The old clip and hand in Box Tops are being phased out. A new scan your grocery receipt with your phone's Box Top App after buying Box Top items is being phased in. During the transition period you can do both but be ready for the new scan your grocery receipt process to be the way of the future. Thank you for your continued support in this fundraiser.
