3/19/2021 Newsletter

3/19/2021

Holy Week
The Holy Week mass schedule is in this week's bulletin. Its only two weeks away!

Saturday April 3rd Easter Vigil will be held in the Church. Please signup below. The Sunday 8:00 am and 10:00 am will be held in the gym and can safely seat 120 people with any overflow going into the hallway of the school, so no sign up is necessary for Sunday Mass.

Church Organ Update
Water damage (likely from an old roof leak) caused a key to recently become stuck and make a constant high-pitched sound. The key has been repaired, however additional organ repairs are needed. Once we receive a second quote we can decide next steps to preserve our beloved organ.  Stay "tuned"!

Piggly Wiggly Receipts
Remember to turn in Frank's Piggly Wiggly receipts from January, February, or March by March 31st. Last year you helped raise $1,400 and over the last five years we have raised $7,700. All those receipts add up, Thank You!   Click here to learn more about this fundraiser.

Our Bulletins

Stations of the Cross
Everyone is invited to come and pray the Stations of The Cross on Thursdays at 2:00 pm during Lent in the church.

Signup for Lenten Challenge
Christians strive to "give up" something during Lent in the categories of almsgiving, prayer, and fasting.
Beginning March 1st, we will send you an email each day for 25 days. Each email will contain a challenge to help you grow closer to Christ this Lent, in preparation for Easter.  CLICK HERE to signup for these emails.

Volunteer While At Mass
Until we can use the hymnals in the pews, we are looking for a few additional volunteers to help with the weekly projection duties. The equipment is provided and it requires only a minimal knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint; training will gladly be provided. We would like to have enough operators to share the load and allow for vacations and family obligations for all. We are also open to suggestions on the presentations. Is there some additional content you would like to see or not see? Please contact Mary Ann in the office if you can help out.

Pickup Your Contribution Envelopes
Please pick up your contribution envelopes in the Parish Library after Masses or during regular business hours. If you unable to come by, please contact the Parish Office and we will set your envelopes aside for pick up later.  Any abandoned ones will be disposed of and your name will be taken off the envelope list for next year.
