Life’s Connections has seen a 30% increase in families seeking medical services, education, mentoring, and basic supplies. They assist around 1700 families each year right here in our local communities, but to keep up with demand, your help is greatly appreciated. At the end of October, St. Peter’s will be hosting a diaper drive. All sizes are appreciated. Please look for collection baskets in the back of church and near the side entrances until Thanksgiving. Monetary donations or gift cards are also appreciated and can be dropped off at the parish or school offices. Other items are needed as well, including: diaper bags, car seats, bouncy seats, and avent baby bottles, to name a few. At this time, only new items can be accepted. Thank you for your continued support in blessing babies, children, and families in our community.
There is a dumpster next to the Carriage House that we have to put our scrap metal into. It is quite large and if you have any metal you would like to get rid of, please bring it over. The scrap company will pay us for the metal and give the profit to St. Peters Church. Clean up your garage/basement and support your parish, only until space allows. Do not leave it outside the dumpster.
We are seeking donations in order to purchase Christmas Decorations and Poinsettias for the Holidays. Please place your donations in the urn near the back of church. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Blessings to you all.
Some students of the confirmation class are putting on a coat drive. There will be donation boxes in the rectory. The coats and other winter clothing will be donated to people in need in the community. Get rid of those old coats taking up room in your closet! Your donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Would you like a way to make Christmas more meaningful and help those in our community who are struggling to provide gifts for their families this Christmas? Once again, there is a great way to do this at St Peter’s this year. Helping Hands of St Peter’s and St Peter’s School will be working in conjunction with East Troy Community Holiday Help program this Christmas season to assist families in our community who need some help with gifts for their families. There will be a Giving Tree in the front of church starting the weekend of November 16/17 until gift deadline, the weekend of December 7/8. On that tree will be tags for gifts that need to be purchased for families in need. There will be a sign up sheet by the Giving Tree on which you should put your name, phone number, and gift code. The gifts should be wrapped and returned to church no later than Sunday, December 8. It is very important that if you pick a tag, that the tag be affixed to the wrapped gift. Each tag will have a confidential code so that the gifts can be matched with the recipient. Questions can be directed to Diane Hamilton at 262 370 2158.
