Please visit the Clothing Center. It is once again open for business. They are also accepting donations again.
Hours: Tuesday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday, 9:00 to Noon ALL THROUGH THE MONTH OF JULY, IT IS $3.00 BAG DAY. ANYTHING YOU CAN FIT INTO A BAG WILL ONLY COST YOU ONLY $3.00. To all who helped with the November 2nd Helpings meal!!! Once again you served a delicious “Thanksgiving” meal! Thank you for all your hard work and taking part in this mission. It has been a delight in getting to know all of you.
Blessings to you all. Thank you to all who have taken a Giving Tree tag. This year we had a record of 156 tags and St Peter’s parishioners rose to the challenge and took all of them. Thanks you for your generosity. Now in order to get the Christmas gifts you have purchased, to the families who need them, all of the gifts should be wrapped and returned to church no later than Sunday, December 8. It is very important that the tag you picked be affixed to the wrapped gift. Each tag will have a confidential code so that the gifts can be matched with the recipient.
This year there are 2 additional options for giving on the Giving Tree tags. There have been a couple of questions regarding these.
First, there are "Angel Fund" tags which are used to help pay a student's balance for hot lunch in the schools. Students with an unpaid balance get cheese sandwiches instead of a hot lunch. If you write a check to East Troy Community School District for the Angel Fund, the school social worker will direct it to the appropriate student lunch account which is need of payment. The WE Energy tags can be used by recipients who are struggling to pay their power bill. These gift cards can be purchased online at "we-energies.com" and search for gift card options. if you purchase and return a gift card, the card will go to a family in our community in need of this assistance WINTER HAS ARRIVED EARLY
But we at the clothing center are prepared. We have a good selection of coats, boots, hats, mittens and sweaters (even snow pants) for those cold days ahead. BE PREPARED, COME ON OVER Hours: Tuesday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday 9:00 am to Noon Would you like a way to make Christmas more meaningful and help those in our community who are struggling to provide gifts for their families this Christmas? Once again, there is a great way to do this at St Peter’s this year. Helping Hands of St Peter’s and St Peter’s School will be working in conjunction with East Troy Community Holiday Help program this Christmas season to assist families in our community who need some help with gifts for their families. There will be a Giving Tree in the front of church starting the weekend of November 16/17 until gift deadline, the weekend of December 7/8. On that tree will be tags for gifts that need to be purchased for families in need. There will be a sign up sheet by the Giving Tree on which you should put your name, phone number, and gift code. The gifts should be wrapped and returned to church no later than Sunday, December 8. It is very important that if you pick a tag, that the tag be affixed to the wrapped gift. Each tag will have a confidential code so that the gifts can be matched with the recipient. Questions can be directed to Diane Hamilton at 262 370 2158.
