St. Peter's parish will be participating the Disciple Maker Index Survey about parish discipleship conducted by the Catholic Leadership Institute! We need your help.
Please help us by participating in a 10-15 minute survey online. The survey can be accessed at www.disciplemakerindex.com from February 23 to March 23 and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide feedback on our parish’s efforts to help you grow. All responses will be confidential and the parish will only receive information about the community as whole. We are trying to get the highest response rate possible. This information will be invaluable to Fr. Mark and our various ministries as we plan for the future and strive to be the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results this spring/summer at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire parish. If you don’t use the computer - there will be opportunities to complete the survey after daily and Sunday Mass and you can obtain a paper copy by contacting our parish office at 262-642-7225. Thank you for helping with this important project! December 21, 1927 – February 22, 2016
Fr. John came to St. Peter’s as pastor in 1986 and retired in 1995. He stayed with us throughout his retirement until his passing in 2016. Let us remember some of Fr. John’s inspiring messages (taken from his book of homilies). “In baptism, the Spirit is received and surely we have not been living our lives in the absence of the Spirit’s power. The gifts of the Spirit – this on-going and ever-operative energizing person - continues in many ways. Some recognizable…some very startling. The gifts of the Spirit surely reside in different persons and in some we would least expect. The Spirit is not ‘tailored’ to our expectations but is a master and designer of surprises. The Sprit gives – that gifts be used for the benefit of others. For the common good, for the building up of the body of Christ. The Spirit is ‘Present Tense’ not past tense. The Spirit ‘enthuses’ and empowers that the ‘Jesus Movement’ can continue.”…..“For, who has been empowered by the Holy Spirit? You and I are! Who has been promised that the Spirit’s guidance will last forever? You and I have been so promised! Who shares the gifts of the Spirit? You and I do! Who carries on the work initiated by the Son of God? You and I do! The Spirit is alive and well. May you and I be alive and well in the Spirit.” December 21, 1927 – February 22, 2016

John’s inspiring messages (taken from his book of homilies). “In this community of ours, in the whole community of our church, we are the “living stones” of this house of faith, graced to build up the body of Christ. Ours is the dignity of being sisters and brothers of Jesus, daughters and sons of God.” On the weekend of February 29—March 1, 2020 after all the Masses we will be having an election for the position of Trustee-Treasurer of St. Peter the Apostle Parish.
