The Off the Square Players of East Troy will be performing The Gin Game by DI Coburn. This humorous and touching play uses a card game as a metaphor for life. Weller is playing solitaire on the porch of a seedy nursing home. Enter Fonsia, a prim, self-righteous lady. They discover they both dislike the home and enjoy gin rummy. So they begin to play, sharing the details of their lives. The performance features the married acting team of Joan and Steve Hay of Delavan who have been seen in other Off the Square shows.
It is being directed by Mary Nugent.
Performances will be at on March 7th, 13 and 14 at 7:30 pm and 2 pm on Sunday March 8 and 15.
The play will be performed at Ivan’s Backstage in East Troy. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at East Troy House, www.brownpapertickets.com and at the door.
A portion of the proceeds will be used to purchase a park bench for the East Troy Dog Park
