Religious Education - Welcome Letter 2022-2023
Hello from the RE staff at St. Peters the Apostle Parish! If you are a new family, we are so happy to have you join us! If you are one of our current families, welcome back, we missed you!
Let me take a brief minute to introduce myself. My name is Susan Bashynski and I am the new DRE for St. Peter’s. I am blessed to be here and am looking very forward to working with, and getting to know all of you. I am working on an introduction letter which will be sent to everyone once it is finished. I’m excited to be coming into a comeback year, and although I really have no significant changes planned, this year will be quite a bit different than last year primarily because we will be back in the classroom and we have many more options open to us! Please know that my door is always open and you’re welcome to come in and just talk Jesus if you’d like.
Below is a breakdown of the registration & sacramental fees. Please note, the sacramental fees are separate and in addition to the registration fees. Fees include books and materials. We did not increase the registration fees, but have chosen to include the book fees in the base rate. Sacramental fees include those items associated with preparation and reception of the sacrament and any retreat fees:
REGISTRATION FEES All Grades K – 11 $100.00 per child
SACRAMENTAL FEES 1st Communion $35.00
Confirmation $165.00 (incl retreat)
Please note: The confirmation retreat is required per the Archdiocese sacramental guidelines. The retreat facility is booked a year in advance. Please make every effort to attend this retreat. If your child is unable to attend this retreat, it will be your responsibility to find an alternate retreat to attend.
If your child was not baptized at St. Peter the Apostle Parish, baptismal certificates from the parish they were baptized at must be submitted to the RE Office prior to your child receiving either sacrament. If you need assistance obtaining your child’s certificate, please contact Susan in the RE Office.
Please complete the on-line registration form and submit your payment or set up a payment plan by visiting the CCD tab on the parish website. If you are unable to register or pay on-line, please contact the Religious Ed Office to make arrangements.
For all fees, we ask for payment to be made at the time of registration. If you cannot pay your entire invoice in full, please pay half of the total due now and then setup up a payment plan for the remaining balance via our Online Payment System. Any prior balances due must be PAID but you may roll prior balances into the new fees and divide the total into manageable payments through the online payment plan.
While all classes are important, some key dates are listed in our calendar. CLICK to open Calendar.
