St. Peter’s School Penny War!
Our faith teaches us that it is important to be giving of ourselves and this is something that we want all of our students to learn and understand. As part of Catholic Schools week we are also going to be having our students participate in service projects to understand that even at a young age there are ways that they can give back to their community in various ways.
A Penny War puts your spare change toward a great cause. All proceeds from our penny war fundraiser will go to supporting a local charity.
How does a Penny War work?
A Penny War puts your spare change toward a great cause. All proceeds from our penny war fundraiser will go to supporting a local charity.
How does a Penny War work?
- Students will bring in their change and place it in the jar for their class, located outside each classroom
- Pennies and dollars will reflect positively for your child's class total
- Nickels, dimes and quarters will reflect negatively for your child's class total
- Students should place dollars and pennies in their own class jar and "sabotage" other classes by placing their nickels, dimes and quarters into other class's jars.
- The goa is to be the class that has the highest positive dollar amount at the end of the fundraiser.
- ALL of the money collected will then be donated to our local charity.
This year the funds raised will be going to the Daniels family.
